About the role: This is a new role in the Group IT Team and reflects the importance of Digital and IT in supporting the growth ambitions of Flogas Energy with world-class solutions and platforms. The IT Business Partner (ITBP) has the overall responsibility within IT to serve as the strategic interface with assigned business unit for the purpose of business application and technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The ITBP proactively serves as a trusted advisor, and is the primary IT point of contact to business line executives and managers. They operate as the key business contact representing IT in promoting IT services and capabilities. The ITBP provides support in delivering technology products that meet the needs of the business. The ITBP focuses on strategic initiatives and planning activities for their business area. ITBPs are proactive and anticipatory in their thinking. They are, by nature, driven and provide significant value to business units. The role is part of the Senior IT Leadership Team and reports directly to the Group IT Director of Flogas and has a dotted-line report to the Flogas Energy Managing Director Key Responsibilities: Support and drive the delivery of phase 4 of project Connect (a major ERP deployment for Electricity and Natural Gas) Develop solution concepts and business cases for new IT investments for Flogas Energy. Perform initial business analysis in conjunction with the Business and IT and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed. Oversee the launch of solutions and help to maximise the positive impact on the organisation. Identify, screen and evaluate new solution opportunities to address Flogas Energy needs and to support building a more digital organisation with a focus on efficiency and customer service. Partner with key staff members to create strategic business plans. Utilise the appropriate technologies and ensure that FE have the solutions they need, when they need them. Drive the development of strategies, tools and skillsets to ensure we are harnessing the power of data as a strategic assetdriving innovation, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across Flogas Energy. Collaborate with IT and Business Change leadership on the intake process and prioritisation of projects across the company. Participate in field research in pursuit of new solutions and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of current solutions Supporting the development and enhancement of systems and integrating new systems with existing systems for Flogas Energy. Liaising with the IT team to ensure an always available infrastructure for all users of our business systems both internal and external. Ensure Group policies support the implementation of strategies set by the business. Liaise with Group IT Director on all centrally provided services to ensure service levels are defined and maintained in line with the expectations of Flogas Energy Candidate Profile: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required. 5+ years experience in a leadership role focused on business solutions, project management and applications with extensive involvement in the full life cycle of solution delivery from inception, through design and deployment. Extensive experience of working with partners and Systems Integrators to deliver complex IT/Digital enterprise platforms and solutions, and ERP platforms in particular. Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business cases and financial resources Experience in Energy or Utilities markets and systems is desirable. A strong working knowledge of back-end infrastructure, cyber and networking. Strong and demonstrated ability to develop partnerships and trust with business leadership to develop IT Strategy Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff, both business and technical Passionate about emerging technologies such as AI that can help add value to the business and increase efficiencies. Proven track record of managing IT projects within budget and timeline constraints. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, with demonstrable experience of a project-management approach in delivering longer term goals. Strong personal commitment to succeed. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
