Overview EMEA Employee Relations - Employment Investigator. The HR Operations team builds a seamless employee experience across the lifecycle, delivering efficient people processes, systems, policies, and programs. We seek an individual with a strong HR investigation background focused on bullying, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases for Employee Relations in the EMEA region. The role involves conducting prompt, thorough, and fair investigations with background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings in partnership with Employment Legal, HR, and the business. The successful candidate should articulate complex issues to the business, identify trends and themes, and recommend long-term solutions aligned with policy, best practice, and legislative requirements to mitigate risk. Parts of this role will support ByteDance and TikTok, ByteDance being TikTok’s parent company.

Responsibilities Develop and optimize robust investigation standards and a disciplinary matrix to ensure transparency, objectivity, and consistency throughout the team.
Maintain oversight and accountability for the investigation case management system, continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct confidential, fair, thorough, and timely internal investigations into allegations of policy violations, including but not limited to bullying, discrimination, harassment, retaliation; produce comprehensive reports and outcomes.
Assist with the investigation and resolution of other workplace concerns to determine appropriate approaches and fair, consistent treatment of all employees.
Drive the disciplinary procedure in line with investigation findings and align with key stakeholders to reach consensus.
Monitor and implement corrective action plans to enhance controls and processes.
Identify ethics, compliance, and employee relations matters that require improvement; work with ER leader and internal groups to amend policies and drive training and awareness.
Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the policy framework and knowledge within the company.
Proactively identify trends and themes to develop risk-mitigation strategies.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience (preferably in a tech company) with solid, traceable experience in workplace investigations, ER, or HR.
Experience investigating and advising on employment-related matters is mandatory.
Hands-on with a bias for action and flexibility to meet the needs of rapid growth.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multiple EMEA jurisdictions with knowledge of labour law is advantageous.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and programs concurrently.
Excellent analytical and writing skills.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
