Job Overview

This role involves leading the delivery of complex technology transformations, focusing on payment systems and ensuring timely completion.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive end-to-end payment technology transformations from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to resolve questions and challenges regarding payments transformation design and plan.
  • Lead diverse experts across various teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including resource allocation and timelines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project status, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Represent and explain project progress to senior client stakeholders.
  • Maintain best practices in project management, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the overall programme team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in technology delivery, with at least 5 years focused on payments.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of payment processing systems, payments architecture, and industry regulations.
  • Good understanding of European payments schemes e.g. SEPA.
  • Experience working in banks across multiple product domains (e.g., Retail, Corporate, SME, Treasury).
  • Strong project management skills, with certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies being highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Management and working collaboratively with Development and Testing teams to deliver high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation in a project context.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance requirements relevant to multi-channel solutions.
