The Opportunity


Belfast City Marathon Ltd is seeking an accomplished leader to take on the role of Chair of the Board of Directors.


About the Role


As Chair, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of athletics across Northern Ireland. You will oversee the continued growth of our marathon events and contribute to the broader sporting community.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the Board to ensure it has a clear vision, strategy, and culture.
  • Hold the Chief Executive and senior management team accountable for delivering the organization's objectives.
  • Represent Belfast City Marathon at various functions, meetings, and media events.
  • Consult with key stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications and Skills


We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can provide effective leadership to the Board. The successful candidate will have:


  • A deep understanding of governance and strategic direction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A strong track record of achievement in a similar role.
