Job Description

This role involves being an integral part of Stryker's 2026 Cooperative cohort. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify a supply chain project and develop project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones, and evaluation criteria in collaboration with the Stryker team leader and college supervisor.
  • Support the development of best-in-class sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and commodities in support of business objectives.
  • Implement supplier and commodity strategies, including spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategies, sourcing selection, financial analysis, and make vs buy analyses.
  • Represent the voice of the supplier within the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracts when applicable.
  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and other disciplines within the business.
  • Participate in new product launches, lead supplier selection, requests for quotes, and ensure that suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables; collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launch.
  • Responsible for ensuring cost standards are established for annual operating budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and 5S systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, BIS, or other related courses for the duration of the placement.
  • Honesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic level of PC skills.
  • Is a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Available for either 6, 9, or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker.
