Job Overview

The Compliance team aims to deliver a comprehensive compliance management framework that enables the company to identify, assess, control, and monitor conduct and regulatory risk. The framework includes implementing appropriate regulatory controls, developing and executing a risk-based compliance assessment and monitoring plan, providing oversight of regulatory reporting, coordinating compliance training, identifying and mitigating conflicts of interest, and regularly reviewing their status.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing effective regulatory controls to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements is crucial.
  • A risk-based compliance assessment and monitoring plan will be developed and executed to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Oversight of regulatory reporting will be provided to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Compliance training for employees will be coordinated to ensure they understand their roles in maintaining compliance.
  • Conflicts of interest will be identified and mitigated, and their status will be regularly reviewed.


Data Protection:
  • EU data privacy requirements and GDPR compliance will be monitored through regular reviews and high-frequency monitoring.
  • The completion and maintenance of records related to data processing, personal data breaches, and data subject rights requests will be overseen.
  • Personal data breaches will be reviewed, advising on actions to be taken and identifying trends.
  • Clients and prospective clients will be met on data privacy compliance matters.
  • Management information on data privacy compliance will be provided for Board and governance committee reporting.


Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of European financial services regulations, including MiFID II, GDPR, and CBI Regulations.
  • Senior-level experience working within a regulated environment for 5-10 years.
  • A working knowledge of operational processes of MiFID or fund administrator firms.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills are essential.
  • Presentation skills and training/coaching experience are required.
  • Ability to articulate commercial benefits of effective compliance management.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to analyse, present, and report risk management information to senior stakeholders.
