Job Overview

The role of Senior Communications Executive involves supporting the implementation of a communications strategy, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and promoting the value of national clinical audit.

This position requires developing and delivering engaging content for various channels, including social media, digital platforms, and events.

The postholder will work closely with senior communications professionals, taking ownership of delegated activities while contributing to the strategic direction of communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality content for websites, newsletters, social media, and reports.
  • Manage and grow social media presence by utilizing analytics tools to increase reach and engagement.
  • Prepare press releases and support media relations activity.
  • Act as liaison with designers, printers, and other key suppliers.
  • Support campaign creation to engage stakeholders, including developing ideas and materials with patient representatives and healthcare partners.
Events Management
  • Support delivery of NOCA events, including annual conferences, report launches, and workshops.
  • Assist with event planning, logistics, promotion, on-the-day delivery, and post-event evaluation.
  • Represent the organization at external conferences and events, identifying opportunities for exhibition or promotional activity.
Design and Branding
  • Prepare design briefs ensuring alignment with the organization's brand guidelines.
  • Deliver in-house design tasks using Canva or similar tools.
  • Support colleagues to adhere to the organization's brand standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A third-level qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required.
  • Relevant experience in communications, ideally within the Irish healthcare or public sector landscape.
  • Demonstrable experience producing and managing content for digital and social media channels.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva and a working knowledge of website content management systems.
  • Experience editing short videos for social use.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Freedom of Information processes.
  • Experience editing longer format videos for use on the website, at report launches, or similar channels.
