Cognizant is seeking an experienced Field Hardware Support Engineer to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot hardware and communications issues in the field, including CHARMS, cabling, I/O configuration, and Ethernet addressing.
  • Support Commissioning and Qualification activities for Client Machinery with utmost professionalism.
  • Complete system updates to address identified site change process issues promptly.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge transfer programs to educate site teams on hardware setup and configuration best practices.
  • Liaise closely with site electrical contractors to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Coordinate tasks efficiently to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Maintain open communication channels with site teams and management to keep stakeholders informed about progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in DeltaV technology, preferably within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; advanced degree highly valued.
  • Proven expertise in designing and programming control systems, emphasizing DeltaV DCS.
  • Familiarity with S88 batch process control in the BioPharma sector.
  • Leadership experience in managing engineering teams, allocating resources, scheduling tasks, interacting with clients, coordinating vendors, and aligning front office and remote engineering teams.
  • Experience in upgrading batch processes on the DeltaV platform for Pharmaceutical clients, reviewing design specifications, and testing specifications with customers.
  • Working knowledge of other control system platforms, such as Siemens, Rockwell, and Unicorn.
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA an advantage.
  • Adequate understanding of regulated industry standards, including exposure to cGMP, GAMP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration in fast-paced projects.
