Our Operations Professional Development Program (OPDP) is a comprehensive, entry-level training initiative designed to provide hands-on experience and promote personal and professional growth. As a participant in this program, you will embark on a three-year rotational journey that includes multiple assignments across various functional areas, including Technical, Operations Planning, Quality Assurance, Project Management, and Engineering.
In Ireland, the OPDP rotation involves 12-month rotations in the first two years of the three-year program. Each assignment offers a unique opportunity to work with a different Assignment Manager and gain diverse experience across functional areas. The final international rotation concludes in June after three years.
To be eligible for this program, applicants should possess a strong academic record, particularly in fields such as Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related disciplines. A proven track record of outstanding performance in academic pursuits and extracurricular activities is also essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Operations, with a focus on Production, Engineering, Plant Quality, and other related areas. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities, are highly valued. Previous work experience, either through internships or co-op opportunities, is also desirable.
This program provides participants with the chance to develop a well-rounded skill set through customized learning tracks and diverse assignments. Regular feedback and guidance from mentors ensure that participants stay on track and achieve their career goals. Upon completion of the program, participants graduate into full-time positions within their home country, where they continue to grow their careers and contribute to the organization using the foundation of skills, experience, and network developed during their time in the program.
