Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for promoting positive mental wellbeing, increasing resilience, and preventing the deterioration of existing mental and emotional distress in people, families, and communities. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of skills, knowledge, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive mental health service that focuses on underserved communities.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to 2 case workers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development for team members.
- Coordinate team meetings and facilitate communication between case workers.
- Represent the organisation in the programme and assist with marketing and promotion activities.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for staff, focusing on best practices, trauma-informed care, and mental health recovery programs.

Requirements

- A 3rd level qualification in Mental Health or Social Studies is required, along with at least 3 years of experience working in a Mental Health or Community Development role.
- Proven experience in supervising staff, providing leadership, and managing projects is essential.
- Experience in designing and delivering group programmes, including Solution-Focussed Interventions and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and community partners.
- A Full Clean Driving Licence is also required.
