A highly motivated Business Development Manager is required to drive sales growth and profitability through the identification, pursuit, and maintenance of a constant pipeline of potential customers.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a Deep Sea Export Business Development role within the Irish market. They must possess demonstrated sales success, knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques, as well as commercial and financial acumen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying, pursuing, and maintaining a constant pipeline of potential customers that meet or exceed established targets via prospecting, networking, and referral activities. They will also be expected to cold-call potential businesses to achieve maximum sales opportunities, produce price offers to prospects and clients, and achieve set monthly and annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers that meet or exceed established targets via prospecting, networking, and referral activities.
  • Cold-call potential businesses to achieve maximum sales opportunities.
  • Produce price offers to prospects and clients.
  • Meet or exceed set monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Identify and propose logistics solutions to customers utilizing company products and services that translate into sales.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a Deep Sea Export Business Development role within the Irish market.
  • Demonstrated sales success and knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Influence and impact people across all levels in the organization.
  • Effective communicator with individuals in all functions within the business.
