Pipeline Engineer Role Overview

As a key member of the Enterprise Enablement & Cloud Solutions team, you will be responsible for delivering platform and technology enablement, quality assurance, framework and standards leadership, and enterprise apps management. This role will have responsibility for creating common Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to deliver on our pipeline standards and targets for technology to introduce efficiencies and improve quality.

  • Key accountabilities include contributing to the DevOps and Automation Community of Practices, promoting new DevOps tooling and strategy, troubleshooting and resolving build and deployment issues for teams, collaborating across Development, Test, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams, tutoring and mentoring Dev Teams on DevSecOps practices, scripting complex solutions, and automating manual tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess technical skills, passion, and self-driven approach with excellent understanding of DevOps and CI/CD, knowledge of Jenkins & Declarative Pipelines, experience with Git, Maven, Groovy, Docker/Containerisation, experience working in Software lifecycle Management, general knowledge of the quality process associated with development workflows, knowledge of branching strategies, and relevant Third Level IT qualification.

  • Technical skills required include proficiency in programming languages, software tools, and methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
