We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Corporate Services. This is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing a wide range of services that support the success of our team.

About the Role:

The Director of Corporate Services will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering a variety of services, including:

  • Human Resources: The provision of all HR services, including recruitment, retention, learning and development, industrial relations, performance management, and attendance management.
  • Finance: A full finance function, including budgeting, monitoring, and financial reporting, as well as the administration of payroll services for employees.
  • Facilities Management: The maintenance and management of all building-related activities, including planned and reactive maintenance, major and minor capital works, health and safety, sustainable development, and support services.
  • Security and Access Control: Ensuring the security and access control of Parliament Buildings, liaising with external agencies as necessary.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Director of Corporate Services will also contribute to strategic management, leading on or contributing to the development of corporate policies and plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) and a minimum of 4 years' senior management experience in a significant and complex organization.
  • Clear evidence of leading and developing high-performance teams, with a track record of delivering significant service improvements.
  • A strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
