Are you looking for a challenging opportunity to work on high-profile construction projects? We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and ensure best-in-class safety standards and compliance.

About the Role

This is an excellent chance to contribute to a prestigious large-scale pharmaceutical project located just outside Cork City. As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health & safety policies, procedures, and standards on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health & safety strategies and protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Deliver comprehensive safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for staff and subcontractors to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and client representatives to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction sector.
  • Possession of a NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent H&S qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and construction best practices.
  • A proven track record on large-scale projects - pharmaceutical experience desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
