Maintenance Supervisor
Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering operations team. This key role involves overseeing the smooth functioning of all on-site activities and ensuring the highest levels of machine availability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an effective maintenance strategy for machinery, tooling, and utilities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to maintenance/electrical engineers and apprentices, equipping them with the necessary skills to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Support the development of a skills growth program within the engineering department.
  • Present weekly reports detailing team KPIs, highlighting areas requiring attention and implementing corrective measures.
  • Offer technical support and general site maintenance services.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancing machine uptime and productivity.
  • Ensure continuous operation of factory utility systems.
  • Conduct research and manage capital investment projects in the engineering function, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the engineering department's operating expenses, maintaining high standards of management regarding spare parts and inventory.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, and promote adherence to health and safety practices.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor workplace activities for maintenance/electrical engineers and apprentices.


Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience managing an engineering/maintenance department.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
