Leading Transport Operations Manager

The role of Transport Operations Manager is critical to the effective management of our transportation network. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of all routes, monitoring daily driver performance, and analysing operational metrics.
Key Responsibilities:- Develops and implements route optimisation strategies to improve service delivery and reduce costs
- Monitors driver schedules and reports on an hourly basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Analyses driver performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement coaching and training programs
- Coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime and ensure optimal fleet utilisation
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and best practices
- 3-5 years relevant experience in transportation management or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, managers, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of Department of Transport regulations and industry standards
