Advertising Policy Specialist

Our team is responsible for implementing scalable advertising policies across Google Ads and Shopping. This includes identifying gaps or conflicts in existing policy frameworks, developing scalable solutions, and working to win consensus across the organization.

This role requires a member of the policy team who can drive change to products, policies, systems, and processes. You will ensure policy intent is translated into execution and explain policies to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the policy team responsible for implementing scalable Google Ads, including Shopping advertising and content policies.
  • Identify gaps or conflicts in existing policy framework, develop scalable solutions, and work to win consensus across the organization.
  • Manage and resolve escalations from internal and external parties (including sales, legal, PR) as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Trust and Safety teams, and Engineering to influence product decisions and prioritization and improve user experience for policy-related issues.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a related field.

Additionally, you should have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
