Investment Business Analyst Role Overview

About the Job

  • Deliver efficient business and investment analysis to support front office operations.
  • Engage with product owners and end-users to capture business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications, process mappings, and workflow diagrams to ensure clarity in system enhancements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration is key, working alongside developers, testing teams, infrastructure specialists, and other business analysts to ensure smooth implementation of investment-related projects.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution to maintain delivery quality.
  • Provide insights into investment processes by leveraging financial data tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and SQL-based analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory policies in investment operations.
  • Oversee multiple project deliveries, ensuring they align with business objectives and timeline expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst within banking/investment operations.
  • 6+ years in financial services, including exposure to front office workflows beneficial.
  • Proficiency in financial data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters).
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Previous exposure to instrument referential systems and market data feeds (Equity, Bonds, FX rates).
