Investment Operations Specialist

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in providing support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth execution of investment operations, including reconciliations, cash management, and portfolio maintenance.

  • Responsible for overseeing Blackrock DSS team IBOR reconciliations output, monitoring cash and asset exceptions, and escalating where necessary.
  • Maintenance of PMF (Portfolio Master File) workflow tool to ensure timely request actioning and adherence to established control frameworks.
  • Support monthly pricing process for relevant securities universe on Aladdin.
  • Monitor and maintain FAS157 levelling process.
  • Act as single point of contact for Portfolio Managers, CIO team, and Insurance Companies regarding investment operations queries.
  • Oversight of externally managed portfolios, including annual review of investment performance and operational performance for all external managers.
  • Manage delivery of investment committee objectives on behalf of General Insurance International CIO team, specifically IPG reaffirmation, Charter reaffirmation, and annual self-assessment completion.

Requirements include degree in business, finance, or related discipline; 5+ years' experience working in investments or asset management environment; robust investments and business knowledge; understanding of fixed income asset class; support of investment operations and corporate governance structures; expertise with business intelligence tools, SQL, VBA, Microsoft Excel, and translating this into ability to manage and interpret large arrays of data.
