Health Insurance Administration Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team as a Health Services professional. As a Medical Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our health insurance administration processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Entry of treatment guarantees into the system
- Checking policies for coverage and completing treatment guarantees up to authorization stage
- Following up on outstanding cases by email and telephone
- Reviewing work queues and preparing for distribution and system management
- Other responsibilities as required and directed by the manager
- Assist in the processing of treatment guarantees
- Assist Manager in creation of policies for the department
- Record minutes of team meetings
- Responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare within team (please refer to the Company's Safety Statement for full list of responsibilities)
Requirements
- Experience in the health insurance industry
- Willingness to develop medical knowledge
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role, in an administrative capacity
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Completion or progression towards the Diploma in Private Medical Insurance
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Honesty and Integrity
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Highly motivated and proactive
- Strong knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, along with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
