Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Lead to oversee the monitoring and reporting of all project aspects, including schedule, cost, and risk. This role will involve leading a team of programme controls professionals and influencing stakeholders to achieve optimal performance.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing capital portfolio delivery projects, particularly in the energy sector. They will be well-versed in project financial and cost management systems, risk management systems, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Controls Expertise: Provide best practice project controls expertise across the programme, incorporating cost management, project scheduling, reporting, and risk management.
  • Programme Controls Meetings: Facilitate programme controls meetings to engage design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, aligning expectations, optimizing schedule, cost, and risk performance, and driving consistency in programme controls methodology.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on all projects within the programme, from promotion through to project completion, relaying cost, time, and risk information to the programme director to facilitate strategic decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years' experience, managing a range of capital portfolio delivery projects, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of project financial and cost management systems, risk management systems, and team leadership.
  • Certifications: Certified in relevant project controls disciplines, such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
