The company is seeking an Accountant to cover a maternity leave contract. This role will cover a period of possibly 6-9 months and the successful candidate will be assisting with weekly and monthly management accounts, as well as preparing monthly accruals and prepayments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the site P&L report, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders.
  • Review overhead spending and report variances against budget and forecast.
  • Analyze Distribution costs, identifying key drivers of variance against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments for overhead costs.
  • Ensure accurate and complete stock valuation on the balance sheet for all locations.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years experience in a similar role.
  • Part-qualified accountant is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
