Job Overview:

This role combines system development, platform features, automation, and tooling with operations such as cluster management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure our distributed systems are reliable, scalable, and high performing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, operate, and optimize our messaging and streaming platform ensuring system reliability, scalability, and high performance.
  • Design and develop platform features and automation tools to improve reliability and developer productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and improve system monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Document system design, operational runbooks, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.
  • Proficiency in Java with good understanding of common design patterns.
  • Solid experience with streaming and messaging technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Apache Pulsar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues, experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc..
  • Experience with Kafka and Flink cluster operations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments;
  • Familiarity with databases like Oracle, MySQL, Redis.
  • Good understanding of distributed system design: high availability, scalability, fault tolerance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
