Technical Lead in Food Manufacturing

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team in Poppintree, Dublin.

The Technical Lead is responsible for ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards, while maintaining continuity and upholding these standards throughout operations.

This position is part of a 15-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (e.g., BRCGS, ISO) by maintaining and improving robust food safety systems.

- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for legal compliance.

- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.

- Develop, implement, and review the site's HACCP plan.

- Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.

- Maintain the Quality Management System and associated documentation.

- Oversee calibration, testing, and maintenance of equipment critical to quality control.

- Manage data collection, analysis, and reporting for validations and performance indicators.

- Investigate and solve product complaints, recalls, or quality incidents.

- Ensure robust traceability systems are in place for effective incident management.

Requirements:

- A degree in food science, food technology, or similar field.

- Minimum 5 years experience working in a technical role within food manufacturing, preferably at management level.

- Solid understanding of the meat industry and its equipment and services.

- Flexibility as the site operates 24/7.

- Excellent management and communication skills.
