Onboarding Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Onboarding Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient onboarding of new clients into our system.

  • Develop project plans tailored to the specific needs of each client and track progress through regular updates;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the onboarding process;
  • Conduct initial due diligence on delegates and work closely with the Oversight team to complete the process in a timely manner;
  • Present new clients to the Approval Committee and Management Company board for approval and resolve any queries from the committee to support final sign-off;
  • Coordinate weekly project calls with all parties, manage deliverables, and ensure closure of action points;
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting fund/management company/AIFM structures and assist in the development of new procedures/processes where required;
  • Ensure the global onboarding team is informed of any local regulatory changes/internal process changes that could impact client onboarding.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in the funds industry;
  • Fluency in English is essential, with other languages advantageous (e.g., French, German, or Mandarin);
  • Proven project management skills;
  • Previous presentation experience is essential;
  • Strong experience with client and management interaction;
  • Good knowledge of UCITS and AIF fund structures;
  • Understanding of management company structures is advantageous;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management tools;
  • Highly motivated and driven individual with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the team.
