Job Description

The Moriarty Group, a leading Irish-owned hospitality company, seeks an experienced Sales and Marketing Director to drive revenue growth for its two 4-star hotels in Leixlip and Balbriggan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successful sales and marketing within the hospitality industry.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity to join a senior management team and contribute to the strategic development of our hotel properties. As a Sales and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing annual sales and marketing plans to meet and exceed revenue targets. You will work closely with the front office managers to develop seasonal strategies and maximize room revenue.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement annual sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue growth
  • Liaise with front office managers to develop seasonal strategies and optimize room revenue
  • Manage all aspects of sales and marketing activities to ensure maximum revenue generation
  • Develop and execute marketing, PR, and social media plans to promote the hotels' services and amenities
  • Analyze competitors and manage database to identify new business opportunities
  • Edit website content and create new content seasonally to align with marketing plans
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to target corporate and conference clients
  • Promote events and functions, such as weddings and parties, to maximize revenue
  • Build relationships with potential and past clients through targeted sales and marketing strategies
  • Assist in creating and implementing quarterly and annual sales plans and budgets
  • Participate in weekly revenue meetings with the General Manager and Front Office Managers

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in successful sales and marketing within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Previous experience working as a sales and marketing manager in a 3- or 4-star property
  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry and emerging trends
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions
  • Outgoing personality and strong people management skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
