Material Handling Operative

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team.
As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of duties including:
- Stacking goods in the correct locations in the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
- Loading various bags of material onto trucks or taking bags to holding areas.
- Following stock control instructions to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Compiling orders for dispatch to meet customer demands.
- Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently.
- Operating machinery and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Performing any other ad-hoc duties as required by the team leader.
Key Requirements
- Prior experience operating a Forklift (Reach & Counter Balance) is essential.
- A strong appreciation for Health and Safety protocols is mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of English language are required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to learn new skills.
- A positive attitude and can-do approach is essential for success in this role.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.
- Overtime may be required at times, paid at time and a half rate.
