Job Summary:
As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment. You will be responsible for managing the Permit to Work system, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining EHS reports and records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to construction activities.
2. Deliver EHS inductions to contractors and project personnel, reviewing and approving Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Reporting and Monitoring:
1. Prepare and maintain EHS reports, records, and statistics, monitoring compliance with legislative and corporate standards.
2. Conduct risk assessments and monitor the implementation of control measures, supporting the development and coordination of emergency response procedures.
Requirements:
1. Relevant third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Environmental discipline, minimum 3–5 years' experience in an EHS role, preferably in a construction environment within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector.
2. Strong working knowledge of Irish EHS legislation, especially related to construction projects, excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
