This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading contractor as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in the Construction Sector and a relevant EHS qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Health and Safety Manager in implementing the company's Safety Management System.
  • Ensure site personnel comply with site safety requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the project EHS Manager.
  • Identify training needs and report requirements to the project EHS Manager.
  • Deliver Health and Safety Inductions and weekly Toolbox Talks to site personnel.
  • Organise and chair Safety Meetings to promote a safe working environment.
  • Review sub-contractors' Method Statements/Risk Assessments and provide assistance where required.
  • Assist with accident/incident investigation reports and submit weekly reports to management.
  • Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately.
  • Advise site teams on drafting Safe Plans of Action.

Requirements

  • Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification essential.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience working in the Construction Sector desired.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.
