Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as a Deputy Human Resources Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the employee experience, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to the success of our luxury hospitality business.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Team Development
    1. Develop and implement coaching and mentoring programs for department leaders to enhance their leadership skills.
    2. Collaborate with the Learning and Development Manager to design and deliver impact-driven training programs.
    3. Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement, ensuring that employees have the tools and support needed to excel in their roles.
    4. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on talent development and succession planning.
  2. Workplace Culture and Employee Wellbeing
    1. Create a work environment that embodies our core values, promoting open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
    2. Lead the employee wellbeing agenda, developing and implementing initiatives that enhance job satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
    3. Analyze key metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions to address them.
  3. HR Operations and Compliance
    1. Oversee HR functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    2. Manage employee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
    3. Collaborate with the Talent team to optimize recruitment processes, improve candidate experience, and meet business needs.
    4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, preparing regular reports on key HR metrics.
  4. Strategic Initiatives
    1. Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with our business objectives.
    2. Lead cross-functional projects to enhance operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, and organizational performance.
    3. Develop and implement our Employer Brand, solidifying our position as a preferred luxury employer.
    4. Stay ahead of emerging trends in human capital management, designing innovative solutions to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
  5. Employee Relations
    1. Provide guidance and support to resolve employee concerns, disputes, and grievances, ensuring fairness and consistency in outcomes.
    2. Coach leaders on effective conflict resolution, fostering a culture of empathy and professionalism.
    3. Ensure employment policies are current, communicated effectively, and aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with CIPD certification an asset.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in luxury hospitality or service industries.
  • Deep understanding of employment law and HR best practices, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
  • Experience managing HR systems, with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
