About the Role
  • Oversee integrated strategic communications, government affairs and policy initiatives to shape and enhance corporate reputation and commercial activities within the country.
  • Develop and execute an external affairs strategy to support key business priorities, ensuring access to medicines in Ireland.
  • Serve as senior advisor on media relations, reputational management, stakeholder engagement and crisis/issues management.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and manage senior stakeholder relationships with a network of external and internal stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with governments, politicians, payers, trade associations and relevant entities to develop clear policy objectives and foster a favourable business environment.
  3. Act as spokesperson in media and stakeholder engagements and represent the organisation in industry associations.
  4. Lead and cultivate a diverse team by enhancing strategic capabilities to align with business priorities.
  5. Engage in cross-functional business collaboration and strategic leadership by working with regional and global colleagues.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • 10+ years' experience in corporate communications, public relations or public affairs, ideally in healthcare.
  • Robust media relations experience with a solid understanding of the Irish media landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing teams and agencies.
Working Model
  • Dublin-based role with a hybrid working model.
  • Flexibility to attend in-person meetings as required.
