Job Opportunity

This is an exciting chance for a qualified and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team based in Dublin 6.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to service users, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and review treatment/intervention programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and review of treatment/intervention programs for service users.
  • Management of own caseload in accordance with service standards.
  • Collaboration with service users, family, carers, and other staff in treatment/intervention planning and provision of support and advice.
  • Discharge or transition of service users between services as appropriate.
  • Documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries in accordance with local service and professional standards.
  • Communication of results of assessments, treatment/intervention programs, and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy.
  • Attendance at clinics, review meetings, team meetings, case conferences, ward rounds, etc., as designated by Senior Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapist Manager.

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience in mental health desirable.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative, recovery-oriented, and person-centered approach.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
