Vehicle Maintenance Manager

The role of Vehicle Maintenance Manager involves overseeing the upkeep and repair of a fleet of vehicles to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.   • Develop and implement comprehensive vehicle management systems in line with established policies, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with depot personnel to enhance fleet efficiency through effective communication and coaching.
  • Establish and maintain all maintenance and repair procedures, including commercial vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and industry standards, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Advising and auditing Site Control procedures for safe and legal operation of commercial vehicles.
  • Support sites in completing accident repairs as required by insurers.
  • Oversee maintenance invoices and schedules, minimizing downtime through communication with suppliers.
  • Carry out minor defect repairs and question suppliers over repair times and costs.
  • Monitor compliance of Health & Safety by supplier's staff when on site.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle history files and ensure legislative compliance.
  • Provide statistical analysis to support cost reduction initiatives.
