This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Commercial Development Manager.

As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities in the medical device testing and consultancy services sector. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and play a key role in expanding our reach in regulated testing services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales or business development within the medical device, biotech, or pharma sector. They will possess excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills, and be able to work autonomously while collaborating across internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Strategic Sales:">
    • ">
    • Drive new business growth by identifying and securing opportunities for medical device testing and consultancy services">
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet territory revenue goals">
    • Manage a pipeline of qualified leads through proactive outreach and market research">
    • Contribute to broader commercial planning with senior leadership">
    ">
  • Client Engagement & Account Management:">
    • ">
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients through consultative engagement">
    • Conduct client needs analysis to identify long-term service opportunities">
    • Oversee proposal development, contracts, and pricing negotiations (NDAs, MSAs, etc.)">
    • Ensure all client engagements are logged and tracked in CRM systems">

  • Market Development & Representation:">
    • ">
    • Attend conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to promote service offerings">
    • Deliver market intelligence to support internal planning and service innovation">
    • Conduct client site visits regularly to manage and grow relationships">
    ">
  • Compliance & Quality Alignment:">
    • ">
    • Maintain awareness of medical device regulations (e.g. ISO standards, GLP)">
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in commercial processes and service delivery">
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to align offerings with regulatory and operational expectations">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline)">
  • 3+ years' experience in sales or business development within the medical device, biotech, or pharma sector">
  • Solid understanding of ISO standards, GLP, and regulated industry practices">
  • Experience managing client relationships and driving account growth">
  • Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills">
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across internal teams">
  • Willingness to travel nationally (expected 50%+ travel with some overnight stays)">
