Adventure Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adventure Leader to spearhead our outdoor activities department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual to take on a leadership role, manage teams, and ensure the delivery of safe and successful outdoor programmes.

  • Lead and develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the outdoor activities department.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of adventure professionals, ensuring they possess the necessary qualifications and skills to deliver high-quality outdoor experiences.

  • Develop and maintain training standards, while ensuring all staff members hold relevant qualifications in specialist areas.

  • Plan and implement engaging outdoor activity programmes for guests, taking into account weather conditions and environmental factors.

  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident reports.

  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure compliance with industry regulations and insurance requirements.

  • Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, including Failte Ireland and ATTA.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in outdoor activities, with at least two instructorships (e.g. RCI, CWI, ERCA).

  • Up-to-date First Aid certification.

  • Prior management experience in a similar outdoor or adventure role.

  • Desirable: A third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline. Hospitality or adventure industry experience.
