Lead Adventure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic lead adventure specialist to manage and oversee our adventure department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement effective systems and strategies to ensure seamless operation of the adventure department.
  • Manage recruitment, training, performance, and development of the adventure team members.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality training standards while ensuring qualification in specialized activity areas.
  • Plan and deliver outdoor activity programs for guests, focusing on exceptional customer experiences.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident records.
  • Maintain awareness of weather and environmental conditions to guarantee guest and staff safety.
  • Oversee departmental labor costs and financial planning, working closely with senior management.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, such as Failte Ireland and ATTA.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
  • Holds qualifications and experience in various outdoor activities, including at least two relevant instructorships (e.g., RCI, CWI, ERCA).
  • Maintains up-to-date First Aid certification.
  • Prior management experience in a similar adventure or outdoor role is required.
  • Desirable: Holds a third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline.
  • Possesses hospitality or adventure industry experience.
