About the Role
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure seamless department operations.
  • Mentor, train, and develop a high-performing adventure team.
  • Oversee the delivery of exceptional training standards while maintaining expertise in specialist areas.
  • Create and execute engaging outdoor activity programmes for guests.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident records.
  • Closely monitor weather and environmental conditions for optimal guest and staff safety.
  • Budget management, labour costs, and financial planning are key responsibilities.
  • Foster strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A strong background in outdoor activities, including relevant instructorships.
  • Up-to-date First Aid certification.
  • Prior management experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Desirable: A third-level qualification in business management, outdoor education, leadership, recreation, or sports-related discipline.
