
Senior Children's Mental Health Specialist

Clinical psychologists with expertise in working with children and adolescents are sought to join our multidisciplinary team in a dynamic community healthcare organization.
- Develop comprehensive assessment plans and deliver evidence-based interventions for young people facing complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from various disciplines to create tailored care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or adolescent.
- Provide consultation, clinical supervision, and support to team members and trainee psychologists.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical records in accordance with established service protocols.
- Contribute significantly to service development, policy implementation, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychology through continuous professional development.
- Design and deliver training and psychoeducational programs for families and professionals, promoting effective support and care for children and adolescents.
Essential Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Educational Psychology, validated by the relevant authorities.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.
- Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or equivalent regulatory body.
- Strong assessment and therapeutic skills across a range of clinical presentations.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Previous experience in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is highly desirable.
- Training in specific therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, systemic therapy, or other evidence-based modalities.
- Experience delivering training or psychoeducation to families or professionals.
