We are seeking a talented MEP Estimator to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking MEP estimating duties independently and reporting to our management team in the delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in quantity surveying and have experience in preparing development budgets, feasibility appraisals, and estimates including system take-offs and material take-offs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Development Budgets and Feasibility Appraisals
  • Implementation of Value Management and Value Engineering
  • Preparation of estimates including System Take-Offs, Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Building-Up Rates from first principles (material, labour and plant) for all MEP installations
  • Preparing Financial Reports and Cashflow Forecasts
  • Implementation of Whole Life Cycle and Carbon Assessment and Analysis
  • Operation of Cost Management System
  • Compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems
Requirements
  • Level 9 Post Graduate Certificate in MEP Quantity Surveying or B.Eng. in MEP Engineering
  • 3+ years MEP estimating experience in Consultancy or Contracting environment supporting commercial, industrial or pharmaceutical construction projects
  • Proficiency using common office programs and IT, preferably with experience in digital take-off, BIM and Life Cycle Analysis/Carbon Assessment software
  • Ability to work proactively within project teams
  • Commercially and contractually focused
  • Technical knowledge of MEP installations with ability to identify, critically appraise/evaluate, measure, and describe MEP installations for cost estimating and the preparation of tender documents
