External Member Opportunity

We are seeking an external member to join our Audit and Risk Committee. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a strong background in finance and risk management to contribute to the governance of our organization.

The role will involve bringing independent scrutiny to our operations, providing challenging yet supportive input to our committee's work, and offering considered advice based on sound judgment and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independent oversight of our operations

Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant financial or accountancy qualification and membership of a professional body
  • Risk management expertise
  • Internal audit knowledge
  • Knowledge of governance codes
  • Understanding of public sector environment
Desirable Criteria:
  • Senior executive or board-level experience
  • Financial management expertise in a health sector setting
  • Enterprise risk management knowledge
Time Commitment:

Six meetings per year, each lasting approximately 3 hours, with additional time required for preparation and reading of meeting packs.

Appointment duration: 3 years, with possibility of re-appointment.
