Reception Manager Job Description

Our organisation is seeking an experienced Reception Manager to join our front of house team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the reception desk, ensuring a high level of customer service and maintaining excellent standards of communication with guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the reception area, including check-in/check-out procedures, cash handling and guest queries.
  • Ensure that all reception staff are aware of correct procedures and protocols.
  • Provide exceptional friendly service to our guests at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the reception area.
  • Work closely with other departmental managers to ensure a pleasant experience for our guests.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years previous reception management experience, ideally in a 4/5 star hotel environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
  • Proactive approach to selling and upselling services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience with hospitality software (e.g. Hot Soft).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
