Join Our Community as a Memory Walk Champion

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to participate in our Memory Walks on Sunday mornings. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with dementia and their families.

Job Description

Pine Grove Day Centre for people with dementia is looking for volunteers to join their team as Memory Walk Champions. As a volunteer, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients through meaningful activities, social interaction, and person-centered care.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cheer Squad Captain: You will greet and encourage walkers with high-fives and upbeat cheers.
  • Hydration Hero: You will hand out water and keep everyone refreshed.
  • Wayfinder Wizard: You will guide participants along the route and prevent detours.
  • Safety & First-Aid: You will spot trip hazards, report issues, and direct anyone in need to medical help.
  • Route Reporter: You will relay updates to coordinators.
  • Memory Champion: You will wear your high-vis vest and Memory Walk tee, share quick facts about our cause, and boost morale.
