With approximately 2,000 associates working across two locations (Dublin & Galway), the company supports a wide range of businesses across technology, operations, and support functions.

About the Position

This Senior Manager of Risk and Compliance role is a vital component of the company's risk management strategy, responsible for ensuring regional risk and compliance management oversight for FISC Ireland. As an analytical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills, you will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting second-line oversight and challenge through formal risk and control assessments, control testing, and regular interactions with Fidelity Corporate Support Functions.
  2. SUPPORTING OTHER ENTERPRISE & GOVERNANCE RISK ACTIVITIES AS REQUIRED E.G. TOP-DOWN RISK ASSESSMENT AND BOTTOMS UP RISK ASSESSMENT.
  3. Supporting the oversight of regional compliance with enterprise ethics and compliance policies.
  4. Leading and managing compliance readiness assessments across Fidelity Corporate Support Functions.
  5. Providing comprehensive management information to senior management, including the Risk Committees.
  6. Working with support functions to mitigate, manage, and monitor risks across the organization.
  7. Performing ad-hoc project-based work, including reporting and analyses as needed.
  8. Partnering with many cross-functional teams across the globe within Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Support Functions.
  9. Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their risk management skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, business administration).
  • Extensive experience in operational and enterprise risk management within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in risk assessment tools, control testing methodologies, scenario analysis, risk appetite documentation, risk reporting to senior management and board, KRIs/KCIs identification, documentation, and reporting.
  • An in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment with experience of working in regulations/guidance issued by the Central Bank of Ireland and other independent EU authorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies with the ability to impact and influence decisions across the organization.
  • A proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and empowering others to deliver.
