Lead Business Partner: Strategic Growth

We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Partner to drive financial strategy, foster business partnerships, and support the financial aspects of major transformation programs.

You will partner with Global Tech and Trading LT members to optimize cost bases and improve ROI and efficiency initiatives as part of the broader transformation agenda. You will report to the Head of Finance: Strategic Growth.

In this role, you will build strong relationships with group functions including tech & trading, adapting financial strategies to the dynamic nature of our organization.

You will act as a financial advisor to business leaders, navigating the challenges and opportunities inherent in our sector.

You will own cost bases under your remit of the role, providing clarity to the business.

You will build out insights to drive effective decision making.

You will present and deliver insights to senior stakeholders with clear data driven insights.

You will proactively identify industry-specific risks and opportunities impacting financial performance.

You will engage with group budget holders, providing insights into industry trends and challenges, and ensuring budgets align with strategic objectives.

You will challenge assumptions with an understanding of the unique financial considerations in our gaming and betting sector.

You will actively participate in group decision-making, providing industry-specific financial perspectives.

You will drive financial outcomes aligned with the ever-evolving goals of our organization.

You will drive the delivery of the forecasting and budgeting cycles, considering the dynamic nature of our industry.

You will provide strategic analysis and recommendations to optimize financial planning processes.

You will evaluate investment cases for operational group functions within our organization, optimizing returns in a rapidly evolving market.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to align financial strategies with industry trends.

You will contribute to the development of long-term plans and long-range plans, incorporating industry-specific considerations.

You will provide financial insights to support strategic planning efforts within our organization and industry.

You will report on month-end reporting activities, address variances and discrepancies.

You will approve PO's, reviewing and approving purchase orders.

You will provide support in the approvals for headcount-related decisions.

You will coordinate capital expenditure, monitor capital projects with industry-specific financial insights and recommendations.

You will perform financial modelling of new business opportunities and business case creation.

You will improve and standardize reporting in group functions.

You will support investor relations with a compelling narrative on group functions value creation activities.

• 4+ years of post-qualified experience, with significant business partnering experience.
  
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
  
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making.
  
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse collaborators.
  
• Excellent storytelling and PowerPoint skills.
  
• Strategic approach with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy of the organization.
  
• In-depth understanding of SEC reporting requirements, regulations, and transformation program finance preferred.
  
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent certification.
