Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Professional
Key Responsibilities:- Lead site safety audits, inspections, and statutory checks for equipment, work areas, and high-risk activities.
- Maintain all EHS documentation, permits, and compliance records to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Enforce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments, and Permit to Work systems.
- Monitor and supervise safe work practices, including working at heights, confined space entry, hot works, and handling of insulation materials.
- Identify, assess, and implement risk controls related to thermal insulation materials.
- Prepare client documentation, including RAMS, SDS, GA1s, and Method Statements.
- Update client safety portals and lead audit preparations to maintain the company's A-Level grading.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training for high-risk tasks.
- Maintain a training matrix to ensure staff certifications are current.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Produce regular safety performance reports and KPIs for management review.
- Third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years on-site safety experience in construction, pharmaceutical, or industrial sectors.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
