Job Overview

The primary role of the EHS Manager is to ensure compliance with local environmental, safety and occupational health laws and regulations. This involves developing and managing site management systems, conducting trainings, and engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

  • Develop strategic direction for Environmental, Health and Safety Management at the Cork site.
  • Promote good health and safety practices throughout the business.
  • Liaise with team members to identify and deliver EHS and CSR strategy for the site.
  • Administer electronic auditing and incident reporting system.
  • Network with colleagues to identify technical and software best practice.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop DDW Global minimum standards for site hazards.
  • Develop DDW & Givaudan Environmental, Health and Safety standard procedures, work instructions and regulations.
  • Provide independent professional advice on EHS Legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, and SMETA accreditation for the site.
  • Identify training needs and develop and deliver Environmental, Health and Safety training.
  • Monitor legal compliance of the site.
  • Participate in environmental and health and safety audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience in chemical/food industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 management system standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
