Job Overview

Seeking a seasoned EHS professional to join our team as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work system ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Ensure strict compliance with EHS regulations related to construction activities, leveraging expertise in PSCS/PSDP responsibilities.
  • Deliver comprehensive EHS inductions to contractors and project personnel fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) guaranteeing meticulous risk management.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate EHS reports, records, and statistics providing valuable insights for process improvement.
  • Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of EHS management systems, policies, and procedures driving organizational excellence.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and monitor the effective implementation of control measures.
  • Ensure unwavering compliance with legislative and corporate EHS standards, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate in the development and coordination of emergency response procedures demonstrating proactive commitment to employee well-being.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Environmental discipline.
  • Minimum 35 years experience in an EHS role, preferably in a construction environment within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish EHS legislation, especially related to construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with contractors and stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
