About the Role

The EHS Advisor position is a vital part of our team, responsible for maintaining and implementing safety, environmental, quality, and energy management controls and procedures within our division.

This role requires a strong background in SHEQ advisory services, with a proven track record of compliance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor and support the implementation and operation of our Integrated Management System
  • Compile and provide SHEQ documentation, including Method Statements and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal and external purposes
  • Prepare Safety & Environmental Plans for various projects
  • Work with Divisional Management to develop, deliver, implement, and maintain Divisional specific SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and direction to staff and promote a positive Health and Safety culture
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years SHEQ Advisor experience
  • Experience working in the Power industry (preferred)
  • A recognised SHEQ qualification (Level 7/8)
  • A recognised training qualification
  • LUGS and/or SLG Card holder (advantageous)
  • ISO Internal Auditor Experience (advantageous)
  • Member/Chartered Membership status of IOSH or similar
