We are seeking a highly skilled Support Specialist to join our Community Support Services team in South Dublin. The individuals we support live independently in their own homes across the community and engage in local activities, events, and social outings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling meaningful inclusion and promoting independence by providing comprehensive support to individuals with Autism.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement practical resources to support an individual's communication and thinking, as well as assessment documentation for social, health, and personal development.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and utilisation of information to develop progress plans that reflect the individual's values and goals.
It is essential to prioritise dignity pathways and ensure that the individual receives maximum opportunities to live a life that reflects their values.
Requirements:- A Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Studies or a recognised equivalent from an accredited institution, OR a relevant third-level degree in social work, psychology, or allied health, OR postgraduate qualification in Autism Studies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- At least one year of recent experience in a similar role.
- Ability to promote independence in individuals with support needs.
- Thorough understanding of HIQA regulations.
- Eligibility for CORU Registration.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD and knowledge of autism.
- Case management experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly across multiple locations within the organisation, depending on service needs.
