About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulations, with experience in conducting site inspections, delivering training programmes, and chairing safety meetings. They should be able to assess sub-contractor statements and method statements, providing support as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular, formal site inspections and carry out assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections for all activities and plant equipment.
  • Deliver Health & Safety training programmes for new employees or contractors on site.
  • Represent the client at Site meetings.
  • Organise and chair Safety Meetings for staff and Sub-Contractors.
  • Evaluate sub-contractor safety statements and method statements, providing assistance as needed.
  • Advise and assist Site Management in drafting and communicating Method Statements.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement measures to reduce risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant Health and Safety Certification, Diploma, or Degree is essential.
  • Minimum 3 years of site-based experience.
  • Good communication, leadership, training, and presentation skills are required.
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
